Stefan Schmidt is a landscape ecologist, postdoctoral researcher and research assistant at the Chair for Environmental Analysis and Planning in Metropolitan Regions. In his research work he aims to contribute to the development and application of transdisciplinary approaches for the analysis of socio-ecological systems to support transformative change towards a more balanced relationship between people and nature. His work focuses on the assessment and valuation of nature’s contributions to people, localization of nature-based solutions for sustainable development goals, and knowledge management technologies to effectively exploit and share data, information and knowledge.
