Astronauts and researchers share their findings on ISS photography and night light research

Christopher Kyba (pictured right) was recently invited by ESA to present his work with night lights at the ESA Open Days. Together with Alejandro Sánchez and Stefanie Riel, he presented the scientific work that is being carried out with astronaut photographs from the ISS and general nighttime light research.

Two ESA astronauts, John McFall (pictured) and Thomas Reiter, joined in by telling the public about their experiences. Reiter spoke about his impressions of Earth at night, while McFall talked about plans for future flights.

We were delighted that the two astronauts came along for an hour to support us and tell the public about their work.

Thanks for a great event, ESA, and thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth!
